The Blaugrana welcome 13th placed Celta Vigo looking to maintain their place atop La Liga
Despite the injuries and the defensive issues, Barcelona keeps on winning. They'll look to get their eight league victory of the season as they welcome Celta Vigo to the Camp Nou. This is the first meeting between the two clubs in six years.

Tito Vilanova rested several starters during Barca's mid-week Copa del Rey victory, and most are expected to be restored to the starting lineup. Lionel Messi is expected to play despite missing training for the birth of his first child, but there's certainly plenty of attacking options available should Messi be held back. Cesc Fàbregas is in fantastic form at the moment, having scored in five of the last six matches he's appeared in.

On the back line, Javier Mascherano and Alex Song are the expected defensive pairing as Gerard Piqué's recovery from a foot injury creeps along slowly.

Celta will be looking to accomplish something they've failed to do in eight years...beat Barcelona. The last time Os Celestes managed to win against the Spanish giants was in 2004 when they won 1-0 at home. Like Vilanova, Paco Herrera left several starters out of his club's match in the mid-week, so he should have plenty of rested players ready to try an pull off a massive upset.

Celta played Real Madrid tough two weeks ago but failed to show any ability to threaten the goal. They'll have to to find a way to solve that issue or face defeat.

Barcelona injuries and suspensions

Out: Carles Puyol (ebow), Gerard Piqué (foot), Thiago Alcântara (knee). In doubt: Lionel Messi (personal).

Celta Vigo injuries and suspensions

Out: Natxo Insa (knee), Samuel (knee), Gustavo Cabral (suspended). In Doubt: None.

Defender Gustavo Cabral will be serving a one-match ban for his red card against Deportivo La Coruna. Fellow defender Samuel is out after injuring his knee in Vigo's 2-0 Copa del Rey loss to Almeria. Piqué was originally expected to miss three weeks but his foot injury has proved tougher to get over. Puyol remains out until at least December recovering from a dislocate elbow.
