AC Milan will face Genoa on Saturday night at the San Siro.

The Rossoneri are coming into this game on the back of a loss to Malaga in their Champions League meeting on Wednesday, while the Grifone’s last match was a disappointment, having gone up 2-0 early against Roma, they conceded four unanswered goals.

AC Milan (3-4-3): Abbiati; Mexes, Bonera, Yepes; Abate, Montolivo, Ambrosini, De Sciglio; Emanuelson, Pazzini, El Shaarawy.

Genoa (4-4-1-1): Frey; Sampirisi, Granqvist, Bovo, Moretti; Kucka, Toszer, Seymour, Antonelli; Jankovic; Immobile.
Milan, Italy - AC Milan entertain Genoa at the San Siro on Saturday evening as the Rossoneri will hope to leapfrog the visitors should they claim all three points. Milan are available at 8/15 to win the game with betfred and paddy power, with Genoa priced up at 7/1 with betvictor – a decent price considering other bookmakers have them priced up at 4/1. The draw is widely available at 3/1 with bet365 and Ladbrokes.

Max Allegri is a manager on very thin ice despite the public backing of Adriano Galliani, a defeat against Genoa could send the Milan manager packing with a whole host of names being linked to the job. Milan have lost the previous three games in a row as Allegri has failed to motivate and get the best out of the youngsters in the team, a problem that ultimately, I believe, will cost the Italian his job. Allegri can be forgiven for not topping the table given the transition the Rossoneri are in but performances in front of the home fans have been unacceptable. However, I would anticipate the home side picking up three points against a Genoa side who must be devastated after throwing away a two goal lead against Roma last time out.

The Rossoneri have an excellent record against today’s visitors. Genoa also struggle away from home and have only one win in their last 15 away games in the league, a damning statistic. The price of 8/15 on a home win should be the backbone of most accumulators this weekend, however, it may also pay to side with backing Under 2.5 goals in Saturday’s clash.

The bookies have gone odds against on a low scoring game, you can back Under 2.5 Goals at 11/10 with paddy power which is tempting when analyzing the history of this fixture. Eight of the last nine meetings have all gone Under 2.5 and seven of the last eight home games for Milan have also gone Under 2.5.

Genoa will have to contend with the loss of on-loan striker, Marco Borriello who suffered an injury in the 4-2 defeat to Roma. The 30 year-old striker has scored three goals in six games and will be a big loss. Newly appointed coach, Luigi Delneri is set to lineup in his preferred 4-4-2 formation with Melazzi and Immobile upfront.

In the opposite dugout, Allegri has switched to 3-4-3 formation with limited success as the players adjust. I like the price on Riccardo Montolivo to score the opening goal for Milan at a massive 14/1 with skybet, with Genoa likely to base their game plan on frustrating the Rossoneri attack it could be left to one of the midfielders to break the deadlock and Montolivo fits the bill.

AC Milan to win 2-0 also catches my eye and is priced up at a very backable price of 13/2 with betvictor and Williamhill, other firms go as short as 11/2.

Should the unthinkable happen and AC Milan lose their fourth straight game, we could well be looking at the Next AC Milan managers market.

The game kicks off on Saturday 27th October at 19:45 BST and is live on ESPN HD.
